My dad buys em when they're still somewhat green.
And he cuts em up, puts salt and lemon juice on it.

Fucking delicious.

Seriously.
Go try it.

Try it! It's really good. But the mangos have to be greenish. Not ripe otherwise it's icky.

when you take an acidic fruit, or one that is not ripe, and sweet when it is ripe, salt will cut the acidity and sweeten it. you don't end up tasting the salt at all though.

it's magical

it really is. you can also buy miracle berries, which are sold as tablets like vitamins, and when you eat one you have an extended period of time before they wear off. they make all sour/bitter foods/liquids taste sweet. you can bite into a lemon and you wouldn't even squint
