I'm looking for some kind of practice sword / staff that's relatively cheap but durable. Appearance doesn't really matter...

I main want something a few friends and I can use against each other as a form of release / stress relief.

I did it before back in high school but what we had gotten ended up breaking and my friend said I scared the crap out of him despite the fact that I did the least amount of actual damage to anyone (something to do with the expression on my face I guess).
Anyways, I've met someone else who likes the idea and so I am now searching for something like I described above.

Basically:
- Needs to handle really high power impact with other like weapons.
- Needs to be relatively cheap - Inevitably these things WILL break, so I can't afford anything too expensive.
- Aesthetics is irrelevant, I just want something that works and can take a beating.

Any ideas?

Kendo stick or a simple Bo staff. They are both cheap and very durable, you can also find many Bo staff workouts online.

What? This for physical exertion/stress relief.
I'm talking metal or wooden stuff here.

If you're referring to the LARPers with their silly foam weapons, you misunderstood my post completely. Foam weaponry would be completely useless for my purposes.

Well still. Don't you think there are more better, more constructive forms of exerting stress/anger?

Like running or biking

Or do you just really not like doing either

Well, it's not like we would hurt much - mostly just the weapons get damaged. The goal isn't to hit each other, it's just to tag.
