okay, im 18 and i make a pretty good pay where i work. My mom is on unemployment and is going to school for free. My dad works at a 10 dollar an hour job. So the deal is, my mom has a 2007 cobalt. still pretty new but she claims that it sounds like its going to fall apart when driving down the road...i know that that is a myth...ive driving it..i should i know.. so they want to trade it in for a used car.. problem is the car dealer cant use my moms income becuase she collecting unemployment and my dad decidded to give the guy my information becuase im bringing in a pay every two weeks. so hes wants me to be the co-signer.. my boyfriend says its a bad decision because my dad has a hernia and if it gets worse, he wouldnt be able to work to bring in a pay and my moms unemployment wont cover all the bills. my dad wants me to come woth him tomorrow to sign but thinking back on it, i really dont want something like that to have an affect on me if something does go wrong. so i told him and my dad is PISSEDD!!! i dont know how else to tell him for him not to be so pissed.. im not really ready for that type of commitment.,. i know it will bring up my credit but still...my moms car already got repoed once so that obviously means they struggle....what should i do
