So in the last week or so I started smoking. I'm not going to go into details as to why, but let's say that I care a lot about my current boyfriend and I knew this would disappoint him so I handed him the pack today. He was not happy but clearly glad I was honest with him. He made me promise never to smoke a cigarette again. That's okay with me.

I'm just curious, but if you smoke, why do you smoke? Not weed, just cigarettes. Obviously weed is for fun and many other reasons, I already know that. I'm curious as to why people smoke cigarettes. Thanks

i don't personally smoke, but i have friends who smoke solely because it cuts down on food cravings and, in their words, "keeps them skinny"

My friend smokes because of two little shits (family friends of mine) in her swimming class were so misbehaved, she started smoking and drinking.

As soon as she was on holidays, she stopped.
