Only if I was positive they were the one and we'd been together for ages already.

No I don't think I would. Even if I knew in my heart they were the one for me, we have the rest of our lives to be married, just chill out. I can't see myself ever getting married though.

That could be classed as a weapon.

No, I wouldn't. See posts here.

I don't really believe that marriage is a good idea in any case, particularly for my paradigm (though it's worth noting that my view on this is NOT necessarily shared by the poly community as a whole - see: Polyfidelity).

I think it depends on the couple, and the expectations they have.  If they are truly in love and have realistic expectations, then there is nothing wrong with getting married at 18 or older.

I married at 19, and am 21 now.  I have wonderful relationship with my husband and we are still very happy with our decision.  Sure most people our age cannot handle marriage, that doesn't mean that there are not couples out there that can.  It is all about you and how you see life.  If you are ready, and know that there is nothing out there to stop you from living your life to the fullest, and enjoying a marriage at the same time, go for it.  I was with my husband for less than a year when we got married.  We were engaged after 3 months of dating, and couldn't be happier.  We have been married nearly 2 years, and that is still longer than many couples of any age.
