I'd say it depends on the situation, as well as the maturity levels of said people. That's not much of a gap. 2 1/2 years ish I'm guessing? I think that's perfectly reasonable, but you have to keep in mind, there are age of consent laws. I'd say two or even three years is ok at that age. Normally I'd argue that age is just a number, but if you compare even a 5 year gap, say 17 years old and 22 years old, to 22 years old and 26 years old, the difference in the overall "place in life" is really drastic. A 22 year old is already to that party/college phase, they have a lot more freedom, where as a 17 year old has more limited freedom, can't go to a bar, can't do a lot of things someone older could. The 17 year old would most likely be living at home too, where as the 22 year old could potentially not be. It's a different place in life. 22/27 is a lot more comparable, both getting into that adult phase. Point being, that a LARGE gap matters less later. But 2 years, definitely ok in my book.
