I don't know if it's just me, but when somebody (usually a girl) doesn't use exclamation points when texting me, it makes me feel like they're texting in an annoyed or somber tone. I know it's stupid, but I feel like the exclamation point is like a smile in real life. Ugh, the limitations of texting.
