I have been on the pill (FemCon Fe) since April. Recently, I lost my pack of pills and it took 8 days to get a replacement pack. I had unprotected sex on the 8th day and started taking the pill again the night of the 9th day.

Could I have gotten pregnant?
And if I am pregnant what effect is continuing taking the pill doing?
It's been 2 weeks, is it too early to take a pregnancy test?

It is possible yes. 8 days is a long time to not be taking the pill and pretty much ensures that the hormone is no longer present. Taking the pill the day after unprotected sex will not protect you from the day before.

I'm not exactly sure what effect continuing the pill would have if you are pregnant, but all packages say "Do not take this if you are pregnant" so I assume it can't be 100% healthy for a fetus.

2 weeks is still a bit too early and an at home pregnancy test may have trouble detecting the hormone in urine. I would wait till you miss your period.

yeah, you could be pregnant. but if you keep taking the pills until you know for sure it won't hurt the possibly existent fetus. you should probably wait a few more weeks to take a test

If you're on the most widely used pill, which takes full effect after the 7th day, then there is a good chance that you may be pregnant. If you've been on the pill for months, my question is, why were you stupid enough to have unprotected sex? Surely you know better? IF you ARE pregnant, continuously taking the pill WILL harm the baby. Unfortunately, the earliest you'll be able to tell is the week before your period is due.
