I'll use my ex as an example, because he has been bothering me the most. But a lot of my friends act this way.

My ex keeps messaging me, telling me how much he wants to spend time with me and how much he's missed me and complaining that I never talk with him anymore.

So yesterday I called to ask if he wanted to meet for coffee. I said it would have to be like 11am, because I had rehearsal at 12. He said that was too early for him, and he didn't think he would be able to do it. He would just be too tired.

I instant messaged him a few minutes ago. Just saying hi and asking how he is. He tells me he is watching a movie right now and would rather focus on that.

I've even messaged him to ask him if he wanted to hang out and hes said "I'm taking a 'me day,' so I can't really talk to you."

Does anyone else hate this?! I'm sure girls do this to guys too.

I more dislike the people who pretend like you're so close to each other, but you're actually just distant friends who rarely talk. They just want to be able to tell people how many friends they have.

It sounds annoying. Why continue to bother with him? Just don't bother messaging him and he'll realize he should message you first eventually, if he really wants to. Otherwise, screw him. There are better guys to spend your time on.
