Title of that video throws off what they say. She didn't develop it just by taking the flu shot. Chances are she had it all along and when she took the flu shot, it triggered it to be active.

That's because they give you the flu so that your body becomes immune to it. It's common for you to get sick after taking it but not nearly as sick as you would be if you got that particular string and not as long. Plus it doesn't guarantee that you won't get the flu, it just lowers your chances.
