My uncle could handle a Cobra (pretty sure it was a 1999) in the winter without snow tires. It is called keeping control of your car by knowing what to do and keeping calm.

i'm not sure i understand why you're posting? obviously you don't want to bounce opinions off anyone because you blast most of them down as stupid...and it seems like you know very well what you want...so what's the point?
in my opinion (which won't matter) the mustang is and always will be a highschooler's car. only girls and mid-life men get the convertible. and of course it 'feels funny' because verts are ALWAYS heavier and handle worse than a coupe version.
i had an '03 coupe for a while...and for a 'smaller' car, it felt VERY big and hadled like a boat. the throaty V8 sound and rumble was cool for a while, but setting off parking alarms at every start gets annoying, as does the constant growl on freeway driving.
there's my personal .02 on this vehicle. take it or leave it.

It's actually been proven that a Hummer H2 is more efficient to be produced, driven 300 thousand miles and then sold than a prius is to be made and driven 75k .
