Actually just bought a used GT about 2 months ago, coming from a 2005 V6. (My insurance rates are finally affordable since all my tickets dropped off after the 3 year mark.) It's a nice car, sure it won't beat a nice BMW but it gets the job done and gives you whiplash without a problem. If your not going for exterior looks and don't mind what some consider luxurious interior looks, you chose quite a few good cars... Most of which are reliable. I'd personally go for the pontiac's, you consider a 2003 - 2007 Cadillac CTS? They are very affordable and have a decent following with performance parts available if thats what your looking for.
I've driven several 99-04 and 05-09 Mustang GT's , both convertible and coupe. They're OKAY and fun, but I don't like them still for some reason as much as I like these. Plus, I have a lot of friends that ride with me a lot whenever we go anywhere seeing how I drive. I currently have a four-door car, and I want another four door, the exception being a GTO as the back seat is just as big as the back seat of most of those sedans posted above. Also driven CTS', the only CTS I'd consider is the V. I don't have that kind of money for that kind of car payment nor insurance on a car with a Corvette engine, except the Trailblazer SS and the GTO, both which are relatively comparable to the other cars both in payments and insurance and fuel economy. I know a lot about car modification, and that's not really what I'm going for here, which is another reason I looked at those cars above.

Vanden Plas - Nice. I would probably go for something like a Gumpert Apollo. Others would include an Ascari A10, a Bugatti Veyron, and, of coarse the SSC Ultimate Aero. I bet you have guessed that I like fast cars...
In this thread, we are (or at least I am..) talking about affordable luxury cars that are relatively quick, with good prices both in insurance and car payments. If I wanted to talk supercars, I would have talked supercars. Go fap to your Veyrons, little boy.
Let him think he will own a million dollar supercar someday. I mean ten years ago I was fapping to McLaren F1's, Ferrari F50's and Jaguar XJ220's.

Ford owns Volvo. Not sure how long they have but I am aware that they cross reference parts. I believe they still have parts manufactured in sweden but the cars themselves are assembled here for the most part.
I learned something interesting a while ago. I drive a GM FWD Car. That said car has a "Hydra Matic 4T65E" Transmission. The Volvo S80 T6 has.. the same transmission. I shit you not. Volvo couldn't find a narrow enough transmission to work with the car since it's a FWD Inline 6, and as we know, Inline 6 is a relatively long block.. so they looked to GM for the transmission. Pic kinda related: I got a pretty good kick out of it. They even have the same transmission failures just like the FWD GM's do where the clutches wear out. Then again, it's sped up much more than it is with a 200 hp v6, seeing how those Volvos have a twin-turbo 300 hp I6. Shit's crazy.. but on the up side, I could have one of the guys who rebuild Grand Prix / Etc. transmissions, build a race trans for the Volvo since they're the same transmission.

You COULD, but your likely better off buying a car you don't have to do much with to be happy. Thats why you buy a car and a motorcycle... Problem solved. Performance you'll never find in a car on one end and the luxury of a vehicle on the other end. Suzuki SV650S, best bike ever. Stock 0-60 in 3.76 seconds. I loved mine, trying win another one on ebay as we speak. EDIT: Model SV650 forgot to include the S. It's got hot fairings. Post edited at 1:12 am on Oct. 16, 2009 by Gabriel Gray

That'd be good and all but I live in a place it snows 2-3 months a year. That equates to me paying for 2-3 months of the year for something I cannot use, not to mention dipshit drivers. You couldn't pay me a million bucks to ride a bike anyhow, I'd be scared. Say what you want. Busa's are faster BTW. Like I said above, though.. I'm not looking for a real race-car. Just something a little more grown up, a little more professional like. All I'd do to the next car is a few cosmetic mods, otherwise it'd be left alone, but if it was an S80, it'd eventually get a race trans put together obviously just to make sure that the weak link in the driveline is taken care of, even if I didn't mod it. Maybe an intercooler to help run more efficiently.
I tend to forget that other climates exist when it comes to motorcycles. Were good year round here. Of course a Busa is much faster than an SV650, but when it comes down to affordability, not so much.

The Busa brand new is 13-15 if memory serves me right.. There are not many bikes you can touch that go that fast for that little bit of money.

They're a little out of my range price-wise, and insurance wise.
