I think you need to talk to him about it. It sounds like you'd be up for getting back together with him if there are still feelings there for him as well. But he cannot read your mind & he's probably thinking the same as you if he does still like you. If you are interested in getting back together with him & your not with anyone at the moment then next time you see him, take him aside & suggest that you should try again.
The problem with getting back together with an ex (if you decide your feelings are mutual) is that you already know what broke you up before, you already know all the little things that bug you about the other person. Sometimes that makes it easier to work round them & sometimes it means you burn out quicker, just be prepared for that.
& finally if when you ask him he says that he doesn't have feelings for you, or you don't want to get back together with him, then forget about it. He is getting on with his life & hanging out with his friends & you should be doing the same thing. There are plenty of other guys, it could just be mixed signals.
So firstly decide what you want & then work from there.
