chinesse id say...

I break my shit laughing at the people who say english is the hardest language, its piss easy and not at all even interesting to learn. The the way people use it is disgraceful aswell, as if some people have to respect for their language the way they use it. I hate it personally.

wtf are you talking about, respect for your language?

The way they use it, manipulate words...dont speak it properly that shows no respect for the language if you arent willing to use it properly.

quite frankly......thats fine by me. i honestly couldnt give a shit how much respect i give a way i talk, so long as the other person understands me i'm sweet

I dont give a shit either, i hate the language really

Manipulate words yet you put together a crappily punctuated sentence as that.

For the people who say English is easy, is it your first language? English has alot more words than some other languages (some have more though) and there's words that sound very different but mean the same thing. (synonyms) which english has alot of. Suffixes are really hard to figure out sometimes. And, like, in Chinese, there is no verb conjugation.

No verb conjugation makes it way simpler, not harder.

But the catch to Chinese is having to learn the characters, and considering there is a Traditional and Simplified version of each, yeah. Where it lacks in verb conjugation it more than makes up in it's writing system. Although no verb conjugation sounds like heaven to me.

I consider punctuation as a use of grammar.

yes because these things only occur in English and make it extremely difficult, to the point where only the elite can speak it.

Anyone with an inkling of knowledge about linguistics knows this question is unanswerable; it relies on too many variables the most significant being your native language. No offence to the people debating certain languages but it's fucking pointless.

Chinese, in my opinion. Its alphabet isn`t phonetic. With every character you learn you have to know all its possible definitions (usually 3-5), pronunciation, which tone(s) it uses, and which radical you can find it under when using a chinese dictionary. And the average educated chinese person knows between 5,000 - 10,000 (i think?) characters and a comprehensive chinese dictionary has 45,000. Plus with China introducing "simplified" characters, you have to remember more characters (unless you`ve become educated enough to recognize a simplified character by instinct)

i`ve studied it for 10 years, and i don`t know much other than the basics. but that`s because i didn`t take it seriously for the first 9 years :P
