lmao no one cares! The Macintosh blows. The Lisa is where its at. Oh, wait, this was about the Tempo, my bad. Congrats about yet another Tempo that you might possibly buy?
This time its srsly though! My fishing season begins the 20th of this month. Ends some time early September. I'll either take out the money early in August, or just wait until the whole shabang is over. Now you see my friend, this year has sucked Eric's dick for me. The fishing season began the last week of June and the guy I work with was still in Oregon. Didn't get back until this week, and on top of it all, he got a second job and can only assist me for 9 periods. Meaning I won't be making Tempo Repaint Money ($6,000 or so), more like Second Tempo/Topaz Money (around $2,000). A compromise was made, and I'll be getting another Tempo or Topaz (or truck), that's a promise. This '85 is most likely because its one of the few Tempos to fit my criteria. That criteria being, it must be/have one or more of the following: -All Wheel Drive -First Generation, pre-facelift (1984 or 1985MY) -Mazda MTX (manual) -3.0L Vulcan V6 -Rare Trim Level (GLS, XR5, LTS) -2.0L Mazda-RF Diesel Do you understand my good friend?

Tough to say. I'd be happy if I left the world better off then when I came into it. Ford was doing amazing things in the 1980s with cars like Taurus, Tempo, and Thunderbird. Not only were the products fantastic, but they were executing a lot of strategies and methods of marketing that modern day automakers would do well to replicate. Insane shit back then. Like a 1989 Tempo came with a better, longer warranty then any new American car. It really does show that product quality and good advertising strategies pay off, because nearly everything Ford was making was becoming an instant success in terms of sales. The Taurus sat at the forefront of all this innovation, but the Tempo, Thunderbird, F-Series, Mustang, and even the lowly Escort all pulled their own weight in cash flow. So I figure I've got a decent shot to do everything in my power to bring back some of the better aspects of what Ford was doing in the 80s. Not saying it was all great back then, it wasn't. The product cycles were too long, and a lot of the cars (Taurus and Tempo in particular) didn't stand the test of time too well. Not because they were bad products, more because they really require regular maintenance to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, not too many second and third owners gave them that sort of treatment, and then they started blowing shock, struts, and transmissions. @Eric, yes I am implying something.
