My brother is trying to connect to XBox Live on Saint's Row 2.
He needs to open the NH port to play on Live.
Anyone know how to do that? He says his friend just called the company and they opened it for him, but he doesn't have the same router.

If you're gonna answer, then you need to explain what you're talking about.

Go to Firefox or Internet Explorer (God Forbid), and go to 192.168.1.1. You need the login for it (default is admin for username and password), Then on the left there are headings. I can't quite remember what it is under. Something like port fowarding. I will get back to you on that. If you don't know the password search for enable telnet on netgear in google and download a zip file called telnetEnable. It comes with instructions.

Hope this helped.

a few corrections, yes, it is called port forwarding, but it can also be called "enable games/applications" ect... and another thing, and no, you dont need to enable telnet for anything, to find the username and passwords, type in google "default router credentials" and you should find a list, find the router you are using, and use those to log in to the router, and here is a list of what you need to foward to the router...

   * TCP port:  80
   * UDP port: 88
   * TCP & UDP port: 3074
   * TCP & UDP port: 53

and when i look at the list, you might have a problem with the port 80, as verizon, and some other companies block that port, but it still should not hinder his ability to play saints row 2 online
