Some people think it's immature because you just think.. "ew that's just gross" because it pertains to 'unclean organs'.  Just like a person saying, "eww... kissing is so gross"... thinking kissing is gross is something considered 'immature' to some, because it sounds like someone younger might say.

Personally, you're entitled to your own opinion, and I do agree that doing something you're uncomfortable with isn't a good idea (not sure about immature, but definitely not advisable).  For me, as long as you don't call me gross for my own personal feelings towards those things, then I won't mind if YOU don't want to personally do them, you know?
