I've been to a psychologist... I may have been to a psychiatrist, but I can't remember since it was when I was 6. Counselors- whatever kind they are- can be really helpful when you find the right one. I would've killed myself if I hadn't found the right counselor.

Yep, I have a psychiatrist. He's pretty cool. It's not a big deal at all, really. There's a huge stigma surrounding them, but there shouldn't be. I'm not in the slightest bit ashamed, nor should anyone else. Some people have something wrong with their feet, some people have something wrong with their knees, some people have something wrong with their teeth, and some people have something wrong with their brain. Specialists exist because we all have something that's not quite perfect.
