Ok so this has not happened before but over the past 3 days my laptop when unplugged says 0% available!??

why is that..I have a hp pavilion and it does get really hot. It won't charge when its plugged in, but otherwise it works fine

Try buying a new battery for your computer and seeing if that works, if not, it might be over heated from you being on it so much.

so I should put my battery in the freezer? than maybe it will cool down or something

I tried to put it on the how does stuff works forum but  I couldn't

Nononono!
Never put your battery in the freezer.
This would hurt it.
Just let your laptop rest for a bit.

If the problem continues, invest in a new battery completely.
