One of my friends wears a leg brace on occasion. she has a disease in her nerves (it had a really long, hard to spell name, so, yeah, lol) that makes it almost impossible to feel anything from her knees down. that, combined with an old injury, causes her to walk with a pronounced limp on a good day. some days, she's in her brace or even a wheel chair because she's having difficulties. but nobody treats her any different for it. I know so many wonderful people in wheelchairs, and lots of people with things like cerebral palsy, autism, and down syndrome. they're some of the coolest people I've ever met. But the thing they all have in common is that they don't act like they're disabled. They act like anyone else would, and as a result, people don't treat them like they're broken or like something's wrong with them. That, I think, would be my advice. Don't give them any reason to think that something's wrong with you just because you happen to be different. Just be yourself, and ignore the people who can't handle it. They're not the type of people you'd want for friends anyway. (by my answer, I hope you gathered that disabilities really don't bother me. people are people, and being different doesn't make them less of a person.)

if it was a long term injury from a sport it would actually attract me. but if it was because of some sort of natural cause which prevents you from doing alot of physical activity, i would be turned off because i wouldnt be able to be with someone who could not keep up with me.
