buckle down! i see so many disbehaved kids these days. Just parents need to stop saying "would you like to put on your shoes?" they need to say, "put your shoes on" they are not adults, they cannot make decions by themselves because they will anwser honestly with a no. ugh, so annoying, but i still want em' :)

I agree completely! I'm a manager at a kid's shoe store and its UNBELIEVEABLE what parents let their kids get away with. Tantrums and attitudes and just generally disrespect. And the parents just sit there ignoring them or saying in a quiet soft voice 'billy, you shouldn't do that."
URG. Drives me nuts. On the other hand, when you come across kids with manners its sooo nice.

Uge! I know what you mean! My mom runs a home daycare through our house so I see lots of parents who don't discipline at all. Like I don't mean they should beat the kid around. but like Time outs are used so much for a reason! when your kick kicks you you put them on a time out! not go "oh no, don't kick mommy hunny" UGE!
but yeah, I still want them to.. when im older lol

Uh, not quite. Have you ever worked closely with children?
Well, I am a nanny for 2 little girls, ages 3 and 4 and I've been their nanny for a year and a half.
I don't let them walk all over me, like some parents do, but I don't order them around either.
If you ask nicely, they are more inclined to do what I ask. If I yell, they just cry and go ballistic.

Well, you never automatically put children in time out. They should get a warning first, then they need to apologize and if they don't, THEN you put them in time out.
