i feel like most parents don't understand their kids are ain't supportive of them whether in school or their personal lives. they don't even trust them. for this these teens starts to rebel against their own parents. most teen parents don't give their child freedom to explore the world. they avoid teaching them respect, value,a postive seld esteem and confidence, these parents often become the most negative role models around their teens.

Thank you so much. I think we all suffer from over-controlling parents. It will really help.

I actually consider myself lucky that I have strict parents, along with very protective brothers.

Some kids here are getting beat or even worse, ignored. I have been given corporal punishment and it is not the same thing.

The best thing my parents could EVER do to me is ignore me! I fucking HATE them . . . Honestly, I've thought about murdering them I hate them that much . . . They're SOOOOO protective and won't let me do ANYTHING! I fucking HATE them and nothing anyone could say could change it! No one knows HOW MUCH I wish I ould move to Vancouver and live by myself!

She never acknowledges any of my accomplishments. She wont let me go swimming at my friends house or my sisters house. She doesnt take me anywhere! and when my friends' parents offfer to take me places she still says no. She makes a big deal out of everything!! My mom never had a normal teenage life! Her dad died and she had alot of responsibility.   When i dont compare myself they compare me! They say why cant you be more like Sydney, i bet u she helps clean the house. And im like: you dont even know sydney! she has a BF. Sneaks out of her house, she isnt a virgin, and she drinks!
