Well, isn't that what they are doing right now as we are speaking in Palestine?
The U.S arming some ally of theirs some where in the M.E trying to exterminate (if not at least trying to reduce them) the Muslims (under the banner of self defence) in that location of the world. The forces are not even match to that of the "enemy" group than that of the other group. Now don't give me wrong....I am not looking for your sympathy or anything like that or trying to play "victim card" (like those who did in Germany), rather I am just stating the obvious.
