Right so I wanted to create a competition, which would suit people, so I've decided "Book Covers with a Twist" not only because you have to be a book lover but also have to have imagination and creativity.

My question of all you, is to create YOUR OWN interoperation of how a book cover should be, as I know sometimes I judge a book by it's cover and think it's going to be excellent, however it isn't. So this gives you a chance to show of that latest read that you love, by creating something to show how good it was and YOUR view of what the cover should be!

Rules
Ok I know rules suck however there has to be some seeing as how I want this to be your own work and I want it to be fun and have interesting outcomes which would make me want to pick up the book in which you are trying to portray.
Number One - You may work in pairs, as I know not everyone has the creative side in order to do a cover, so pairs ARE accepted however one must do the cover the other the blurb.
Number Two - You can hand draw this if you aren't good on computers however they will only be accepted if you have your member name somewhere on the picture of it. Also computerised entries should incorporate something which proves that it is your works, otherwise YOU WILL be disqualified.
Number Three - You are allowed up to three entries each. They should NOT be edited after, so post one, then use another post to add another entry. Any posts that are edited will NOT be accepted.
Number Four - About content, well I will allow quotes from the book, and parts of blurbs HOWEVER your own words are better valued. Can be from the cover or the actual content of the book.
Number Five - You are allowed to use images from the internet, as long as they aren't already on the cover (it has to be completely original  as it is your interpretation). If you use images from the internet please also provide the link to go with it.
Number Six - Judges will be able to enter however won't be able to vote their own.

Their are currently 3 Judges, if it's popular, I will ask for more.
1) bri872002
2) laineyloo
3) Natsy
4) Myself

If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me and I will happily answer them, or ask on this topic as other people may wonder the same thing.

Closing Date:
The Closing date of this competition has yet to be decided.

what is a blurb?
A blub is the description on the back cover, this is something in which people read in order to sometimes decide if they want to read the book.

Could I just let you know out of interest, in the penguin classics range, they've released a few books that come with a blank cover for you to design your own. The picture of dorian gray and Oliver twist are just two that come to mind :)

Frannie O'Neill is a young and talented veterinarian living in Colorado. Plagued by the mysterious murder of her husband, David, a local doctor, Frannie throws herself into her work. It is not long before another bizarre murder occurs and Kit Harrison, a troubled and unconventional FBI agent, arrives on her doorstep.
Late one night, near the woods of her animal hospital, Frannie stumbles upon a strange, astonishing phenomenon that will change the course of her life forever....

Her name is Max.

With breathtaking energy, eleven-year-old Max leads Frannie and Kit to uncover one of the most diabolical and inhuman plots of modern science.

"I found the book to be so well-written that I was literally upset and twitchy during the escape scenes." - Linda Mowery, The Mystery Reader

"Romance, suspense, action...swiftly told....There's magic here, too, leaving readers more than once struck deep by wonder."
- Publishers Weekly

"The room was black with puppets. They were everywhere, dangling from the walls, slumped over the floor.Little Else of any note. Apart from the Cardinal."

As Capac Remi is thrown into a life of violence and suspence he cant help but learn more about himself and the place he is in "The City". The Cardinal is the city and the city is the cardinal, his rule is absolute.Capac must face truth, loss and cost of power as he drowns deeper into the City's Heart and Cardinals Grasp.

The King James Bible was originally issued in the early years of the 17th century. Despite many attempts to render the text in good English, its beauty of language and rhetorical power still continue to eclipse other more recent translations.
