If there was anything you could do, it would probably just be best to try to work with them and try to do something other than a suspension. Talk to the principal about it and see if there is anything you can do so it won't affect your transcript, but still get the punishment. If you want, write a letter saying how sorry you are and how wrong of a decision you made, and even write why you think you should punished differently. Other than that, I can see that you know what you did was not acceptable. There is a reason why they have to ask your parent for permission for release, and it's not just to make things more complicated.
I will say this... I really don't know how much of an affect a suspension will have on your high school transcripts. The only thing I can see it really affecting is your grades really.
