In terms of having it up to date, safe and working properly. Like CCleaner. What are some others?

Also what are some tips for keeping your computer at it's best? Like doing defrags and so on.

Thanks

Give your pc a cleanup every month. Get rid of unused programs and have 2 to 3 anti viruses installed.

I don't feel like getting the urls for all of these:
  • Anti-Virus (AVG or Avast!)
  • Spybot S&D
  • CCleaner
  • Defraggler
  • A firewall (if you don't already have one)
  • Safe internet browser (not IE)
  • Adobe Reader (it has quite a few vulnerabilities and there are lots of PDFs online)

It said "Vrrrrmmmmm." Unless it was just a lawn mower.

and have 2 to 3 anti viruses installed.

that can cause a lot of problems, having more than 1 can seriously slow down your computer and cause BSoD. or did you mean anti-spyware?

    Something thats not already listed

is defragging really worth the time?  people seem to be recommending it to me so often, but it doesn't seem to offer any noticable performance increase.
