How much money are we talking about? You said $150 to get to Ohio? I'll tell you right now that there are few quick ways to make $150 without a steady job. If you're desperate, going door to door, explaining your situation, and then asking those people if they have any sort of odd job they'd be willing to have you do for a quick $10 or something would be your best bet. You might get some nasty reactions and I'd avoid those houses which say "no soliciting," but you'd probably find a few quickly enough and you could likely get $150 in no more than a week.
Panhandling off of freeway ramps during rush hour is probably the best option for your position, but realize that there will be a lot of competition there, and often by people who are already living in comfortable enough conditions looking for a way to make easy extra money. You'd have to get out there early, but still, you'd need to watch your back for I find occasionally those guys don't take too kindly to competition. You could amass $150 quickly doing this, probably in an evening or two.
There's other stuff like collecting cans and recycling them for money, donating blood for money, etc. You won't get a whole lot of cash doing this (unless your blood type is something like O-), but you will get some.
