Avoid throwing up whenever possible. Stomach acid is vicious. It eats away teeth and makes them ugly. It eats away at your esophagus and sphincter valves. Over a period of time, throwing up will disable your upper digestive system as thoroughly as laxatives will disable your lower digestive system. It also puts terrible strain on heart and head, and can cause dangerous electrolyte imbalances. Avoid punishing a binge with an immediate fast. If your body expects large amounts of food, then depriving it cold turkey may cause even more hunger and binging. It's a cycle... binge, fast, binge, fast. Don't start. Regulate your food instead and be gradual with changes in how much you eat. If you do purge though...Keep a box of baking soda, a cup, some water. Rinse your mouth with baking soda dissolved in water after purging. This helps neutralize acids and spares your teeth and mouth somewhat. there are so many cons for purging... - It only gets rid of 10-50% of the calories you eat, and that's only if you purge straightaway.
- The body makes you binge more and more as a result of purgeing, leading to longterm weightgain.
- The strong stomach acid causes side-effects such as a swollen hamster face, brown rotten painful teeth, sore throat, sore mouth, and occasionally a ruptured oesophagus where you can bleed to death or the acid can escape and damage your internal organs.
- It alters your hormones so you no longer can enjoy sex, and your periods are irregular and heavy.
- It can lead to a lack of potassium causing backache, weakness, paralysis, irregular heartbeat, heart attacks, drowsiness, memory loss and spasms.
- It can also cause a lack of magnesium - causing fits, tremors and hallucinations.
- It can cause anaemia.

Do you think 3 times a week is alot or not very much?
Purging does not make you lose weight,since all the calories are absorbed before you do it. So there for i dont think its necessary at all. 3 times a week does seem like a lot because its almost half the week of doing it. Try cut it down to two, and then 1. Wash your mouth out with bread soda and water after to make sure your teeth are fine and drink plenty of warm water before hand so that its better if you are going to do it no matter what i tell you.
