I also noticed that Global cases have just topped 1000, may not seem like all that much but 'every hero has an origin'. No harm in taking some simple precautionary measures i say.

I'm not being paranoid. I am not running out and buying masks or food supplys, I am not avoiding public transport. I have a cold at the minute I am not ringing NHS direct and asking if I should go and get tested for swine flu. I am merely being aware of the facts and the worst cas scenario, I am refusing to be cynical. This issue does not consume me, I just have the facts in the back of my mind for future reference.

I just get annoyed when people become so cynical that they dismiss the whole thing as being hype. As I have said I am not paranoid I just choose to not dismiss the facts that I have been given and remain cautious. Especially living in such a big city.

It's less cynicism and more a desire not to see everyone falling into panic because they can't get their facts straight and because the media wants to sell papers and advertising. Is there a threat? Yes. Is it nearly as bad as you and the media are painting it? No.

Any threat is something to be wary of and keep an eye on though thats all I'm saying.
