1- Who owns the rights of tamiflu?
(this a stupid question because I know the answer http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=1148)

2- Why the H1N1 burst out in Latin America right after Obama had left it?

3- What the hell is this panic caused by the WHO reports when the H1N1 burst out first?

4- And why they are saying NOW: it is not lethal, calling for us not to panic?

5- The first child who spread the virus is totally cured, healthy like a horse... how?

6- How many people die, annually, from ordinary flu, sudden drop in blood pressure and accidents? and what is the ratio of all these to the ratio of death tolls from the H1N1? and why the media reports, daily, the death tolls of H1N1, while ignoring the daily death tolls of accidents in the world for instance?

7- What is the connection of all this with the sharade called "investigating torture" which is acted by the Obama administration? Why people who are involved in torture are not going to be taken for accountability? (including Rumsfeld and Bush)

8- If no one is going to be held for accountability, no compansations are gonna be paid for any victim, no pictures are gonna be released... wtf is this investigation for?

9- What is the title of the Hollywood comedy movie, released in 2004, suggesting the possibility of an African American reaching the white house? (seriously, I don't remember its name, I just remember that it was a hit), and why the Republican rival of Obama was semi-deaf, half-blind, stumbles whenever he walks and stutters?

10- Rumsfeld who killed millions with cold blood in Iraq and Afghanistan is a serial killer and a liar, now he is the Messiah who is curing people from the pandemic.. does this make any sense?

11- I know, for sure, that Republican PEOPLE are totally different from Democratic PEOPLE (and I prefer democratics of course) BUT, do Republican POLITICIANS differ in anyway from Democratic POLITICIANS?

12- Does business stink?

Some people will not like these questions. Yet, we have the right to question, aren't we?

I decided to graph the total cases as announced by the WHO.

As you can see it's starting to look pretty ugly, i also got excel to come up with a quadratic to model the curve. I'm interested to see if it has any predictive power, so according to the model 3 weeks from the last announcement we will be looking at about 36500 cases; in 3 months...about 220000, i think we can consider ourselves lucky if we escape that lightly. Lets remember we aren't even close to the northern hemisphere flu season yet. Watch out for any announcements of a more deadly strain, we'll be in deep shit when that happens. The recent outbreak in japan is worth watching too, as well as flu season in the southern hemisphere this winter. If anyone's interested I'll update the graph occasionally.

Since I last checked, there were about 500 cases of swine flu in Australia. The symptoms are mild, and no-one has died.

OMFG, NATIONAL DISASTER!

That would be 1009, yesterday, 3 times higher than a week ago. Probably a few hundred more by today. Keep in mind that every pandemic has to start with just a few people. Consider yourself lucky that the people in charge of things don't share your complacency. Cunts like you get to blithely dismiss the threat, while those that matter are putting plans in place to keep us safe. A Win-Win situation.

OMFG 1009 PEOPLE!!! AND NONE HAVE DIED (as far as I am aware). NATIONAL DISASTER!

Honestly, how many people come down with the common cold each year? Quit your melodramatics and take your vitamins, you're statistically more likely to get mangled in a car crash than die from swine flu.

...at the moment. There was a time when you were more likely to get struck by lightning than you were to get aids from gay sex, not so any more. Who knows maybe we'll get lucky and it'll fizzle out this time, but that is looking less and less likely by the day. If it stopped at 1009 cases then no one would be at all concerned; but the rate of new cases will, in all likelihood, accelerate.

If it doesn't get any worse then so what? we acted early, were well prepare, and probably stopped a lot of people from getting sick. If it does get worse and we  did nothing then the blood would be very much on our hands, at least if this does go ballistic we'll now be well prepared to deal with it. I have no doubt that when Australian cases are pushing up towards a few hundred thousand you'll be the first in line for the tamiflu (that we are now mass ordering, thanks to forward planning) , pushing old ladies out of the way to get it.

Except that AIDS kills (or more accurately, knocks out your immune system so that even opportunistic pathogens can kill you). So far, swine flu has a mortality of 0%. I'm shitting myself in awe at the deadliness of the new strain.

Or maybe it will just be a seasonal thing, the equivalent of a severe common cold?

And people will develop immunity, until the next strain hits. Such is life.

There's nothing wrong with taking reasonable precautions, but there comes a point where reasonable precaution crosses over into paranoia. The fact of the matter is that the mortality rate is ridiculously low, and the disease has been described as mild (for an influenza virus).

Sorry, I'm not a panicky drama queen.

First UK swine flu patient death

Still it doesn't seem to be something to be to worried about, the person that died had other health issues.

Why is it though that we're all so concerned about this "pandemic"? Honestly, with less than 200 fatalities worldwide, does it not seem like we may be a bit over concerned? Yes, it is a tragedy and should be something to be cautious of, but really, I truly am sick of hearing about how terrible it is.

This may sound idiotic, but I hope I get it. I hope I somehow pick it up, simply to prove that it's not the worst thing.

The first cases are starting to get reported at uni now, I was at a central exam today with 1500 people in one massive hall. I have no doubt that a few people in that hall had swine flu, probably a lot more do now. I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that there is now a high probability that i will contract the virus at some point. At my age, living in an enclosed space with 270 other people puts me pretty much at the highest possible risk. With any luck we have a decent flareup within the next few days and my maths exam gets on Saturday gets cancelled   .

It's getting so bad in Victoria now that they aren't bothering to test most patients now, so the numbers you see on tv aren't accurate. They're estimating that 10-30% of the population here will contract the virus, so we're royally fucked either way, just depends if the virus mutates into something more deadly (which could apparently happen very easily) whether or not we have a re-enactment of 1918. lol and don't worry, i won't forget your posts blithely dismissing the threat, there will be plenty of time for i-told-you-so's later . Oh and bullshit graphs like the one below should serve as a word of warning the next time you decide to play russian roulette with potential pandemics.

Don't take the vaccines, sheepies.

You don't find it strange that military personnel are getting vaccines with no mercury, and thimerosol preservatives, yet we're almost at the brink of mandatory vaccinations with those additives included?
