As your contest manager, in an effort to increase the number of active contests on the forums, I am giving away a significant amount of money and points to the best contest ideas to be implemented in the next few weeks.  

You can enter your ideas here UP TO August 3rd.

How this will work:

1. YOU will post your contest ideas in a reply in this topic. Be as detailed as possible, colorful, creative, imaginative, picture-inclusive. An entry that stands out is more likely to be noticed and selected by my judging panel.  
2. The JUDGES and myself will vote on and select TEN ideas from this topic.
3. The ten ideas will be entered into a POLL, in which all of LW will be able to vote for the next FOUR or FIVE (depending on the quality) contests which will actually take place as soon as they are selected with the highest votes in the poll.  

The creators of the winning ideas will receive:

The first place winner: A $12 donation OR 1000 points
The second and third place winner: A $6 donation OR 700 points.  
The fourth and fifth (if there is a fifth) place winner: 500 points.

Note: The Prize Pot is likely to increase as people donate more points to this contest on the contest page.

What makes a quality contest?
1. It is a contest that appeals to a majority of LW members.
2. It is a contest that can be entered without expensive equipment.
3. It is a contest whose entries can be created through a wide range of media (i.e. photography, writing, etc)
4. It is a contest that is well thought out and explained.

If your entry and reply on this page is going to be a one sentence explanation or an incoherent phrase, please stop before you even post.

Will the person who makes the best contest idea be able to be a judge in the following contest?

For example, someone writing LiveWire on a sign and then holding it up in front of the Eiffel Tower (assuming you lived near it that is).
Another example is a person opening the toilet door and finding someone on the laptop wearing a LiveWire shirt, not doing anything disgusting of course, but the scene would be funny.

It doesn't necessarily have to show off photo taking skills or photo editing skills, just your sense of humor, and/or bright ideas.

I don't know if this will appeal to anyone, but I like the idea and I would enter it.

Why I believe this entry should win.

-99.99999% of people on here have paint.
-99.99999% of those people can use paint.
-Paint images are easy to get on here.
 (ie clicking save as and saving as a JPG file)
-The work would be original.
-I don't think we've had one here before.
-It doesn't require specialist equipment. Bar a computor. but we all have one of those on here.

MS Paint tourney
- Rules would be set for entry - no nudity or vulgar imagery. A theme would also be set (possibly decided by a poll?)

Up to 3 entries per person. Judges may NOT award 1st and 2nd place to the same member.
Rules

-Entrants may put picture in IB, or on a site such as picOodle, provided that they label it correctly. A name must be selected for each entry.

-Pictures MAY NOT just be painted over another picture. If it is based on a picture, please provide a link to that picture.

-Pictures may NOT be edited using photoshop or other wise.

-Pictures will be judged based on originality and overall look.

-Pictures placed in IB MUST be in a seperate Album labelled "Paint Contest tournament"
