I consider myself very observant, and I can usually tell what people think about me. With the exception of my closest 4 friends, people seem to think that I am a shallow idiot. It hurts, because it's not the case. I'm not very open with people who I am not close to, so a lot of my innermost thoughts I keep to myself. My closest friends told me they were surprised when they got to know me, and found out how different I was than what they expected. It still hurts though, to be completely written off before people get to know you.

Why do they matter though? Why do you even want to waste your breath on the people who just judge you at the drop of a hat? Do they really affect you in anyway?

Sometimes it hurts to not be able to reveal your "true" self in public. Mostly because one is self-conscious.
Sometimes one may think, "If only you knew...". Whilst others are labeling you.

well instead of building up a victimization complex either accept yourself or change yourself... too much change is bad, too much accepting is arrogance... but keep the status quo when you're unhappy is a waste of a life.

I don't have one. I think you may be reading too much into this. My only point was, I don't like how people assume they are better than me, or that I am ignorant because I don't put my feelings all out there. I hide my feelings because I want to, not because I have a problem. And I'm not unhappy, I just get really annoyed when people assume things that they have no idea about. I'm not going to go cry in a corner. It's just annoying, and saddening how people underestimate me as a person.
