I have trouble responding to self harm and suicide eHelps. I am good with responding to issues about friends, family, and generally feeling down. But when it comes to self harm and suicide I have trouble doing it because I don't know what to say seeing as I have never been there. Does this make me a bad support leader?

thats why we have so many support leaders - so there are people who can cover the issue.

See I can answer the rape questions and sex questions and I have not experience there either. But I think something about self harm ones make me uncomfortable.

That doesn't make you bad at all! Just answer the ones you feel comfortable answering, ok? Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses. I, myself, stay away from self-harm and suicide topics, so don't feel bad. You're doing great, relax.
No of course not, we all have things we are better at than other topics and issues. I can relate to self harm ones because i have been there. I feel useless when it is issues to do with pregnancy or friends. It doesnt make you bad, so dont think it.
That is why there are a lot of SL's, one person is not expected to know everything in every frield.

This doesn't make you bad at all. Everybody has different support strengths. For example i find it more difficult to answer eHelps that are about relationships and stuff simply because i don't feel the emergency of the situation. I find it much much easy to answer ones about self harm and suicide.
So don't feel bad because you can't help one member. Do your best to concentrate on your specific area.
