Bro. it is so a sport. how can it not be.
cheerleaders work just as hard as football players, etc.
we throw ppl over 8ft in the air- NO PADS, you pussies.
We on a spring floor for three minutes. you get effed up you keep goin and dont cry like no damn girl. =)

When they compete just as cheerleaders, it is a sport. When they jump up and down at high school football games, no.

if you compete theN HELL YES. During the season, my varsity cheer squad practices 3 hours a day, 6 days a week (4 hours on saturday). Before each practice we run 2 miles and we condition after every prax. TO be successful and do well in competition, you have to be able to perform three minutes of intense stunting, dancing, yelling, and most importanttly tumbling. All put together its like doing intense sprints..
Im sry if this comes across as BOLD, but i have to defend a sport that is commonly underestimated
