I find these kinds of tests more and more difficult to take as my answers tend to not fit what the question is getting at, but the results ultimately represent me pretty well (mildly fiscally liberal, very socially liberal).

thats more where I have usually ended up, at least on the l/r scale at the very least. I am not sure what i answered to change that. sometimes i Think i am disagreeing with something different than they are, so it skews me.

Yeah, there were definitely a few questions where I knew what they were trying to get at, but my answer to the question that they were actually asking was the opposite of the question that they were trying to ask.

the best example i can think of was the death penalty question. i said strongly disagree when the question was it should be used in extreme situations only or w/e. idk if they took that to mean i think it should be used all the time, or that i am completely against the death penalty in all cases. :/

also i think my particular religious apathy, in that I think that religion and politics shouldnt interact screwed me up on some of those last questions.

ah well.

I'll run through it again, but I really don't like the political compass. It provides a one dimensional scale to issues with multiple dimensions.

One of the statements was along the lines of "to have a truly free market predator multinationalist corporations must be eliminated." My first thought was "no, absolutely not, but that doesn't mean that I want a truly free market."

Then I thought "as with humans, 'agency' is really just determinism via external factors viewed through the flawed, constructed concept of an independent individual, and neither a market dominated by multinationalist corporations nor one without them will exhibit anything that can be coherently construed as freedom."

And then I thought "hmmm... I don't think that I can take standardized tests like this any more."

Oh, I know. I don't throw a good/bad blanket over political ideologies, just would have placed myself in Libertarian Capitalism or Anarcho-Capitalism if I didn't have a test to do it for me.
