I'm going to try and explain in as much detail as possible what I'm almost certain is being done with pokemon go.

If you would like to understand more what a camera with GPS tagging is capable of, here is a video done by the creator of the technology http://youtu.be/ahUSAqm4vow
Every smartphone is capable of GPS tagging today.

Now here is the meat of what I'm getting at. This 3d rendering was done using a digital camera by an amature.
http://youtu.be/IF9FMrT9KnY
If you would like to see exactly how this guy made this rendering then see part 1 of his tutorial. Basically all of the angles and perspectives that photos are taken are compiled to create a single 3d object.

Now let's take a look again at Pokemon GO and apply the process I just described http://youtu.be/p-XnTDcQZjY

I believe that Pokemon GO is being used as a way to develop a digital representation of the earth. This might be a difficult idea for many of you to accept but if you take away the pokemon and read the terms and conditions for the game, you can get a clearer picture of an alternative function to the game. Information is constantly being gathered and compiled with GPS tagging and it is associated with every perspective of camera angle that has passed through the geographic position. Pokemon GO users are literally becoming reconnaissance drones who are streaming information about the inside of their houses and areas that they live. Even if the camera is pointed at the ground, it's still capturing something with and exact GPS tag.

Why do I think this is being done? The creator of this app is John Hanke who is also the creator of Google earth. There are limits to the places that satellites can see and there are only so many places that the Google van can drive to. That's where this app comes in. If you research where John Hanke got his funding for pokemon go, you might find that a large portion came from the CIA. Hmmm, funny. I wonder why the Central Inteligence Agency would fund a game. It couldn't be to just spy on people, we all already know they do that. That's why I think it's more for programming. Just think of all the things that can be done with an exact, topographically correct, digital representation of the earth.

You can kind of think of it as an easy way to bringing video game characters into reality if someone so wanted.

John Hanke is an incompetent retard who couldn't program or design his way out of a paper bag. He hires people to do things for him and then takes credit for it. That got him fired from multiple companies, starting with 3DO in the late 90s when he misrepresented himself as an experienced game developer. I know that because i've known him for the better part of 20 years.

As for the rest of that nonsense.... you're making yourself sound as nutty as a fruitcake. Nobody in their right mind would create such an absurd and convoluted way of doing what you suggest. It doesn't pass the common sense test by a long shot. Technology already exists for doing something like this if anyone wanted to. 3D satellite mapping alone would work just fine

Are you under the impression that you can make people believe bullshit simply by saying it over and over again?

Because if so, you'll have a bright future in politics my boy.

Okay.
so.
what you are saying is
A) Phones have GPS's in them.
B) when you take a photo, it attaches your gps location to that photo
C) By using math, you're able to calculate the distance of what's in your photo
D) by comparing your GPS location with the photo, and the photo's information, you have a GPS location of anything the camera takes a picture of.
E) By using enough cameras, you are able to get multiple views of a single point, thus creating a 3D image.
F) By using everyone's phone, and everyone's GPS, the CIA will have a complete 3D map of the entire face of the earth (or at least the public places)

Am I correct on those assumptions?

I'm only making this topic to be clear on this point. The thing that makes this app unique is the fact that it directs everyone to go to these places to collect this data. It's all very possible and I've used nothing but facts about technology to confirm my reasoning. I admit that the fact it is possible does not mean it's a fact that it is happening but I hope I've provided food for thought.

My motives are to inform and educate, you can believe whatever you want just keep in mind that your phone's are capable of every thing I've said.

Wow, the OP has changed his tune.

Since it's ok to speculate, as long as you quote one fact...
I heard that over-exposure to the sun is bad for you. So do you reckon that the dark lord Cthulu is using the sun's rays to destroy the human race? I'm not saying it's true. I'm just here to provoke discussion.

It sounds like this could possibly put a hole in the CIA plot theory but isn't it still a fact that he received funding from the CIA to develop this game? I understand that you don't have a high opinion of the guy and I think it's impressive that you can say you've known him for 20 years but what are you saying exactly? He didn't help create Google earth or pokemon go?

Your half right, 3d satellite mapping alone would be enough for basic areas that didn't require much detail. But you turn everyone I to a recon drone and you get the things that are missed. Hiding places, house interiors, nooks and crannies that otherwise couldn't be picked up with satellites. Coordinated, packaged and stored in one place and approved by everyone's own ignorance to make it legal. You can't tell me that, on one level or another, that is not desirable information for an intelligence agency to acquire. Try applying that to your common sense.

Yes. You are correct on all points.

A) Google maps takes about a 10 foot tall view from the street of literally, almost everywhere. Several different angles (even if it is only one side of a building, given the top down view, you can make a rough estimate of what it looks like)
B) aside from Google and other public satalites, you also have security cameras,  police car dash cams, personal go pro, on top of drones, government satellites, and personal cameras.
C) you have to assume everyone is going to be using the VR application , as well as have the camera working(I usually turn it off, and my phone is pointed at the ground
D) the only time you have swarms and swarms of people (like the video you poated) is only in very public spots. I'm are the government could look up any building, and public park's blueprint, from the engineers themselves, and literally create a 3d image just from that. Not having to worry about trying to calculate 100000 pictures to make one little block of what ever.
E)  what do they gain out of this?

"Personal houses. Hiding placed. Nooks and crannies"
The game is devised so that you're "not" just sitting in your house playing. In fact. Most Pokémon won't even spawn if you're in a house. (Or mine at least )
Again. You have to have the virtual reality turned on. But it's a lot harder to catch the Pokémon that way, so most people have it shut off.
And I understand the app still has permissions to use it. But I don't play while looking up or out. I look down at my phone. My pictures would all be of my shoes on the ground.

But again. You could just get blueprints from the original builders of the house /mall/museum and make your 3d map that way.

And.

Also again.
I have no idea why this is such a huge deal. But even if it was, a 3d rendered Google maps would be more than sufficient to
.. do what ever.

I just wanted to state my case better than I did before and explain what can be done with the information that people are sending back. It's not a secret that the data is being collected. What's actually being done with it, we may never know. I just think it's important that people realize what can be done with it along with the permissions people mindlessly agree to.

It would be pretty sad if America was taken down by idiots playing pokemon, I think anyway.

Isn't tinfoil supposed to be for aliens? I mean you could have been a bit more clever with that with like a terminator quote or something.
