Subject: stomach pain
I was in hospital nearly a month ago with severe abdominal pains. I had minor surgery but it was not appendicitis. I have been only experiencing occasional pain since then, but over the last week the pain has come back, getting stronger and worse each time. I no longer have an appetite, and keep getting the feeling of being nausious and sick. I have been reading up on the internet to try and find the cause, and I think it may be endometriosis as I am suffering from a lot of the symptoms. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks .

I work in health care, and I am going to answer based on that.

Anytime you are having abdominal pain it is considered a possible surgical emergency, if it is lasting for more than two hours, or frequents for more than 3 days.  You need to see a doctor.  There are many things that it could be, and you need to get tested.  If they cannot find what is wrong with basic tests, insist that they continue testing until they find what is wrong.  It could be anything from ectopic pregnancy, to a irritated bowel.

Hey there.

None of us are specialized professionals, so I cannot say for sure what it is and if its endometriosis.  Are you still going to the doctor?  If not, it might be a very good idea.  He or she can properly handle this with you.  But with that said, don't give up on this.  Keep your spirits high.  Maybe the doctors missed something the first time.  But also, maybe get different opinions on this.  Like different doctors.  That way more ideas can be thought about and they can find the reason why you're having so much abdominal pain.

Best wishes.
