Lets Get Wild - Photography Contest Nov. 1, 2009 - Nov. 25, 2009

Since so many of you LiveWire people absolutly love photography, or just simply love your pets or other animals...this contest was made just for you!!  

Basically, take pictures of your pets or go down to the zoo and take pictures of other animals. Any animal will do. Take a nice picture and win points.

Rules:

* 5 entry's per person.
* You must have taken the photo personally
* Preferably no photoshop, we're looking for a natural photo.
* Name each photo. (for sorting out purposes)
* NO people in the photo.
* As usual, must have creativity and imagination.

Deadline:
25th November.

The Quiz Contest Oct. 4, 2009 - Nov. 13, 2009

First and foremost, every entry gets points. Fun stuff, right?

Now, with that said, the amount of points you get per quiz is going to vary. No, it's not just a random number pulled out of my head. It's going to be based on several things which will be outlined in my next post. You will get at least ten points for every quiz made. They take like five minutes to make, if you've got the right creativity that is. So whyyyy am I doing this? Point blank, the quiz section sucks, and it's basically filled with useless quizzes that no one takes. In the next few weeks, I'll be skimming the quiz section again to pick out some of the outdated ones, and in place it would be amazing to have some new, good quizzes. That's where you all come in.

tl;dr
Make quizzes, get at least ten points. High chance for more.

-Chances are more rules will be added as needed. :)

The Points
We already touched upon how every quiz made will get something. But what I didn't say is that by the end of the contest, the best three quizzes will rank and get additional points. Here's how it will work:
First place: Most originality/creativity.
Second place: Most times taken.
Third place: Most interesting.

Contest - Write Oct. 25, 2009 - Nov. 8, 2009

The Contest
Compose any sort of music, poem, or short story. They can be as long, insane, weird, scary, morbid, intense, insane, or random as you want. You can compose orchestral music, or just write words. You can make a video of yourself singing the a song, or just send me lyrics. Etc. Myself, and a panel of 5 judges will decide which is the best.

How Judging Works
The entries will be split into 3 classes:

Poetry
Music
Prose

The winner from each class will then be judged against the winners from the other classes, and the best of those 3 will be declared the winner. Winners from each class will be given points, but the overall winner gets the most.

Rules
1. No sexually explicit content.
2. No plagiarism. Original content only.
3. You may submit as many entries as you like.
4. You may not attempt to bribe a judge.
5. If you are found to have plagiarized or enter something sexually explicit, all of your entries will be disqualified.
6. Be nice.

Points! Points! Points Oct. 31, 2009 - Nov. 4, 2009

Right as contest manager I have seen a slight drop in interest so now I'm going to offer my own points for people to enter. Not only will you get free points off me but also you have a chance of winning more.

Rule as follow:

Links need to be given to me in this topic.
~Points are given with an entry to that specific contest. You can get ~10 points for EACH contest you enter with a entry that goes with the rules of the contest
~Anonymous isn't permitted due to the fact I wouldn't be able to accurately assign the points.
~Any entry after this topic has began qualifies, if in appliance to the other rules
~ Entries HAVE to be of a decent quality to qualify, the points may increase the better the entry  
~Any entries after closing time will be disqualified from gaining points

Avatars promoting contests will get 20points. However they have to stay there for a week, once the week is up you get the points. Creativity may gain more

Livewire Mansion Contest Sep. 18, 2009 - Nov. 2, 2009

Backstory:
Back in February, a member by the name of selsby made the original LiveWire mansions. It's a bit outdated now, with members who are either no longer active/here and people who we don't really know of. Yeayea, we know that this will most likely take some time and effort into it. No, it doesn't have to be a picture that's perfect. Actually, we'd prefer it to not be perfect. Above that, try not to use the text boxes. Make it somewhat similar to the old ones, but adapt it using new members who have joined after along with members who are still active today.

Rules:
-Must not break any guidelines.
-Mustn't offend any members*
-Be creative
-Try to use more well known members
-Only two entries per person (yes, you can switch them if you want.)
-Use your own ideas. Try not to copy anyone else who's entered
*Unless it's deemed over the top by any judge or the member used messages me stating they're offended, it's fine.

Livewire Halloween Costume Contest! Sep. 27, 2009 - Oct. 29, 2009

Rules
~1 Entry per member. (Members can change entry pic before voting starts)
~No cheating in anyway.
~No Nudity (Boobs, Ass, etc)
~Voting starts October 20th to the 26th.
~Winner will be announced on Halloween night.
~The judges will be voting on the quality, how unique, pretty much all around awesomeness of the costume.

There will be 5 judges including me. If you are interested in judging this contest you can send me a message. You can send your costume entries in at anytime before the voting starts. (send them to me and I will write your name down with the other contestants.
